Dr Thembelihle Masina is a qualified Gynaecologist and Obstetrician practising at Melomed Mitchells Plain.

In 2009, she completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Cape Town. Thereafter, she pursued a Diploma in Obstetrics at The College Of Medicine South Africa And a Masters Degree in Obstetrics And Gynaecology at The University Of Pretoria.

Dr Masina did her Medical Internship at Witbank Hospital, where she rotated through various medical disciplines to complete her training as an independent medical practitioner. In 2012, she completed community service at Bethal Hospital. In 2016, she joined WITBANK PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL as a MEDICAL OFFICER, where she spent 3 years obtaining experience in obstetrics and gynaecology and gaining basic surgical skills.

Dr Masina also worked as a Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Pretoria Complex. During her time here, she taught students, ran the high-risk obstetrics and gynaecology clinics under supervision and presented academic presentations for various topics in obstetrics and gynaecology. She also acquired various surgical skills from the consultants and level 2 obstetric ultrasound competence.

In her current position as Ob-gyn at Melomed, Dr Masina provides quality and fully comprehensive care to patients using a holistic approach. Dr Masina makes an effort to communicate effectively and thoroughly explain to patients what they can expect during diagnosis, treatment, screenings and delivery.
